Job Description
Oracle Business Systems Consultant to provide enterprise systems
administration, senior functional support, integrated system support, and
process and system architectural leadership for Oracle eBusiness Suite
applications. In this role, you will assume responsibility for:
*Providing technical support for Oracle applications *
- Provide advanced functional support for Business System Analysts
- Provide cross-module and cross-functional area integration support
- Provide Systems Administration services for application suite
- Insure integrity and accuracy of all application system setup
information
- Maintain system integrity by assessing, recommending, and implementing
appropriate controls on both system management access and application data
access
- Support the investigation and resolution of reported system issues.
Provide system information, utilize diagnostic techniques, guide the efforts
of Business System Analysts, and interface with vendor technical support as
required
- Manage system changes in accordance with Oracle Application Change
Management Process
- Interface with application development professionals in the design and
support of Vertex-specific customizations, interfaces and extensions to the
Oracle suite
*Designing New & Enhanced Solutions*
- Provide functional and technical direction for solutioning around
specific business requirements
- Provide information and guidance around cross-module dependencies and
impacts for new functions and changes to existing functionality
- Investigate system options and recommend appropriate solutions to
address requested functionality
- Advise in the development of test scenarios so that appropriate
integrated testing is conducted
- Participate in testing and resolution of any issues or problems
- Implement new and enhanced solutions in accordance with the Oracle
Application Change Management Process

- Attend and participate in team meetings

- 8+ years of system/procedural documentation development experience
- 5+ years of specific depth in Oracle Projects modules is required
- Experience in Project Management and Project Resource Management is
required
- Experience in Project Costing and Project Billing required
- Experience with other Oracle Financials and Human Resources modules is
a plus
- Experience in the setup, functionality and end-to-end integration
points of multiple Oracle eBusiness suite modules as well as hands-on

Data Warehouse Consultant – Sagent
The Data Warehouse Consultant will work on projects that require close
coordination with Business and Information Technology groups. Position
supports overall development and service delivery projects reporting to the
Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence Systems department.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for supporting the architecture and design of the data
warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data
initiatives
- Identify data warehousing issues and assist in their resolution
- Review project work products, including project work plans, business
activity and information models, test plans, content storage design, and
application component design
- Contributes to table and interface design and the development of
logical and physical data model/database, ETL processes and population and
tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting
business/user requirements
- Facilitates requirements definition and contributes to documentation of
project and system documentation
- Code, test, implement, monitor ETL processes in our data warehouse
environment
- Provide infrastructure support for the BI/ETL environment
- Research and analyze various data source systems, applications and
perform data research/analysis
- Provide project, system and other technical documentation as required
- Provide off-hour support of BIS systems as necessary
Required skills include, but are not limited to:
- 2+ Sagent V 5.5.1, 4+ years ETL tools
- 4-7+ years of IT experience in developing full lifecycle
implementations, support, and upgrades.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the development and maintenance of
data warehouse/data mart and BI reporting applications
- 5+ years of Data Warehouse experience.
- 5+ years of relational database experience (SQL, tuning, optimizer,
relational concepts)
- Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills and relational database experience
- Strong MS Windows OS knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communicate skills with both technical and
non-technical staff

* *
1. This is a senior developer position rather than a leadership
position. The candidate must have knowledge of databases, data modeling,
ETL tools and testing as well as an understanding of all aspects of SDLC.
2. The candidate must be familiar with relational database concepts
and database design for databases such as Oracle, DB2, i5 etc.
3. The candidate must know how to performance tune large amounts of
data and how to schedule so that all processes are not scheduled at the same
time.
4. The candidate must be familiar with data warehouse architecture
and the platforms that support them e.g. DataStage on Unix or Sagent on
Windows. The candidate must understand how the ETL tool relates to the
platform.
5. The candidate must be able to design/build a data warehouse to
support BI reports. They must be able to use ETL tools to get data from the
database to generate the reports.
6. Although GSI currently uses Sagent, it will be migrating to other
tools in the future. The candidate for this position does not have to know
Sagent, however, they must have ETL tool experience and be able to learn and
adapt to any ETL tool. Some of the most widely used tools are Ab Initio,
DataStage and Informatica.

*EDI in Reading, PA*
We have an immediate need for an EDI consultant to work at our Green Hills
location. This position is contract only with an expected duration of
approximately 3 to 6 months. The rate for the position will depend on the
qualifications of the selected candidate. The successful individual must
have good customer relationship skills along with excellent technical
skills. Experience using TrustedLink is required. Additional requirements
are:
- Mapping using TrustedLink
- Creating corresponding mappings on an AS/400
- RPG and CL programming experience on an AS/400
- ANSI X12
- EDI 810, 811, 820 & 997
The client uses TrustedLink so this experience is required. RPG experience
is also required as all their EDI work is done in RPG
