As a Web Application Developer you'll be building our next generation, high performance Message Archival & Security related SaaS offerings to support our internal teams, external partners, and MessageOne customers. MessageOne processes tens of millions of messages every day and our growth and profitability is directly tied to our ability to scale and monitor this technology. You must be capable of designing and developing J2EE & AJAX based web applications adding new functionality as well as consistently producing on-going scheduled maintenance releases for our Message Archival & Security platform. You will be responsible for applying your knowledge and skills in a wide spectrum of web application development technologies to execute on your core responsibilities of this position. The job responsibilities also include integrating our product components with other 3rd party components and/or services. You must demonstrate development skills across a range of web application development technologies including: " CSS, HTML/XHTML " AJAX/JavaScript " W3C DOM methods and properties " J2EE, Struts, JSP, JSP TagLibs " Web Services " XML/XSLT *Qualifications * " 4-8 years of software development experience, building and shipping web based applications " Experience with OOP, Javascript, CSS, HTML, DOM, AJAX, J2EE, JSP, JSP TagLibs, Struts & Web Services " Experience developing cross-browser pages: Experience finding and working around browser bugs, layout bugs, etc. " Hands-on experience working with J2EE application servers & Linux " Hands-on experience working with Linux/Unix & Windows platforms " Strong attention to detail: Ability to implement code with corner cases covered first time " Object-oriented analysis and design skills and knowledge of common application-level design patterns " Good verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical issues and relate to customers requirements/needs " Experience with building and delivering SaaS based applications/services a plus " BS degree or higher, preferably in CS **At least 4-5 years of exp.
