Sr. Sharepoint Developer Montvale, NJ Duties: Candidate will be responsible for working as a SharePoint 2007 power user and site "configurator" in support of the rollout of firm wide SharePoint publishing and collaboration sites. An acute understanding of administration tasks, maintenance of to-do and organization of business data is critical to the success of the candidate along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A. Assist in the build out and configuration of new collaboration and publishing sites - building pages and configuring web parts to meet business needs. B. Providing input and specifications to the Knowledge Services and US ITS organization on customizations and enhancements to the platform to improve the end user or administrator experience. C. Candidate will be responsible for responding to requests from content and site owners, providing hands on help and support to get publishing and collaborations sites up and running. D. Candidate will be responsible for responding to end user and site owner questions and problems. The candidate will provide how to, hand holding and other support techniques to not just solve the customers problem but make them self sufficient. E. Consolidate common questions into methods and procedures that can be handed off to a helpdesk. F. Candidate will be expected to document common tasks and train employees within the Knowledge Services team in advanced SharePoint skills. Skills: A. Candidate must have exceptional SharePoint 2007 power user experience with a demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint best practices, as well as firm understanding the benefits and appropriate use of customization. B. Candidate must be a SharePoint expert with detailed knowledge of setting up and customizing SharePoint lists, creating custom views with data filters, working with templates, working with Content Query web parts, and managing permissions. C. Candidate must be a SharePoint visionary – the kind of person others go to for ideas and insights on their SharePoint site. D. Candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and listening skills. E. Candidate must inspire confidence in the customer. F. Candidate must also take direction well, and work well as part of a team. G. Candidate must prepare and maintain related site documentation. Other A.
