Position : Tester
Location: Kansas City MO
Duration: 6 months
Note: Need Local Only
Daily basis work:
Person is going to report to a QA Lead there and augment their efforts
Write test scripts, Plan execution of test scripts, write test plans to
support applications
Be able to get through the MF environment - TSO, JCL, to make sure they get
the #s expected - functionality - navigation, standard tools
Quality Center is their test management tool
Verifying data creation and #s - one of their tech leads does the data
creation, but if they had the ability to enter data into the database, that
would be good - standard SQL work or using DB Visualizer or Spufi
QTP, LoadRunner, WinRunner needed - Only QC
They select out resumes, do the phone screen and then bring in the
candidates they are interested in for an hour and a half
Major Responsibilities:
" Responsible for defining the Scope of testing for System Testing
and Integration Testing.
" Review Requirements Matrix to ensure all requirements are included
in the scope of testing. Additionally the Tester may participate in
requirements gathering sessions.
" Proactively gain an understanding of the system impacts of each
system modification, enhancement or new development
" Assess and communicate risk associated to testing scope, schedule,
quality and/or resources.
" Identify test resource requirements to support the testing
strategy. This includes HW, SW, and people.
" Provide effort estimates related to testing efforts.
" Create Test Schedule and milestones with the appropriate
dependencies.
" Identify and satisfy data needs for test execution. This includes
the setup of test data required to complete the test cases and management of
the test environments.
" Needs to be able to access and review output files in a mainframe
environment.
