Data Warehouse DBA / Performance Analyst Santa Ana, CA 20months REQUIRED SKILLS: •Experience working with high volume databases with partitioned data, performance and tuning experience is required. •Performance tuning/ Oracle development skills – Performance assessment, SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions and transactions analysis, thorough understanding of indices and statistics for multi-terabyte databases. •Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including and not limited to: star schemas, snowflakes, ETL processes, dimensional modeling and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos a plus) Experience working with and within cross functional Development, QA, Test and Functional Teams. •Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment and pursue a proactive approach to problem solving. •Strong exposure in migrating databases and data conversion requirements. •Database design - must have experience with logical and physical database design. •Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
EDUCATION/REVELANT EXPERIENCE: •7+ years of data warehousing and business intelligence experience •Extensive experience in Oracle 10g administration •Expert in sizing, capacity planning, backup, and recovery planning with multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions in Oracle environments. •Experience with Oracle Streams data replication •BS in CS or MIS required or related experience. • Familiarity with Web-based application development, framework object development experience, Oracle Relational Databases and J2EE platform development •Experience with TIBCO Data Exchange ETL a plus •Oracle DBA certifications a plus.
