*Purpose of the role - How it adds value*
Reports Writer is responsible for the intake of a business reporting request
and developing the code to produce test samples and production reports.
*Deliverables: criteria/results by which success can be measured:*
Assist the business line with the business requirement document. Review the
current reports available for enhancement or for modeling. Provide input
into the initial estimate of duration and resources required (human,
hardware and software). Validate the report discovery document including
the priority and complexity.
Develop the requested report. Transition in request ownership for a
report. Utilize the Business Requirements Document (BRD) to determine the
tool required to code the report. Provide a Design and Analysis Document
(DAD) and establish a change request timeline. Code and debug the required
report.
Test the developed solution. Design and implement a test plan to validate
the business team objectives are met. Provide report samples to the
impacted business owners. Track and report defects encountered during the
test phase. Assist in assessing the implementation readiness of the
developed solution.
Implement the developed solution. Establish an implementation schedule or
task list. Validate system report and associated processing. Track and
report implementation defects. Participate in defect resolution planning.
Negotiate approvals required to update the status of a request to complete.
Administrate a project plan or task list for the key Systems deliverables of
the request. Manage scope change throughout the request's life cycle.
Report status for Steering Committee review or business owner review.
Assist in the prioritization of assignments. Maintain a balance of
attention between filler and project level assignments. Propose
alternatives to impasses in priority.
*Technical Knowledge:*
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent business experience
1-3 years Mainframe Report Writer Experience
1-3 years Client Server Report Writer Experience
1 year Business Analyst Experience
Experience with one or more of the following applications
Mainframe Focus or Web Focus
Crystal Report Writer
Data Warehouse or Data Mart technologies
Easytrieve
Advanced Loan System (ALS) or equivalent
loan processing system
Online Collections (KO) or equivalent
collections system
Recovery Management System (RMS) or
equivalent recovery system
Impacs (IM) or equivalent deposit processing
system
TSO, JCL, NDM or Sterling
CMSI (Credit Revue) or equivalent lending
system

SQL Administration & Development
Access Development
Experience with MS: Access, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook and Word
*People Management:*
Provide technical support and coaching to team members
Strong command of English Language
