Description: Position - lead data modeler
Location - Portland, OR
Duration - 4 months
Rate - $60/hr on c2c.
Seasoned Data Modeler with team lead experience to drive implementation
of strategic data vision. Position requires proven experience in Data Modeling
and team leadership. As a Data Modeler the candidate is expected to design,
develop and deploy robust OLTP data models in a large scale environment.
Candidate needs strong working experience developing PL/SQL for Oracle 9i and
10g databases. As a data team lead, the candidate is expected to drive project
deliverables for small group of integration engineers. Responsibilities include
day-to-day team management; issue escalation, coordination and resolution.
Technical skills:
Senior-level skills in Data Modeling
Demonstrated experience in strategic integration and design of complex
OLTP data base models
Demonstrated experience designing and converting logical models into
physical models
Strong PL/SQL working experience
Working experience with Oracle 10g
Working experience fine-tuning SQL
Working experience maintaining roles, users and object permissions
Working experience with implementation of data objects
Strong communication skills
Experience working with Erwin modeling tool or similar tool
Experience working with Agile methodologies is desirable
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and web services is desirable.
Knowledge of JAVA is desirable
Functional background:
Experience leading team of Data Modelers, SQL developers and integration
engineers
Experience driving design and implementation of complex data models
Experience making recommendations on a wide variety of complex data and
integration complex issues
Demonstrated experience collaborating with project manager, technical
leads and business liaisons in design and implementation of complex data
integration deliverables
Demonstrated experience driving data loads, data conversions and data
validation activities
Previous experience collaborating with Quality Assurance teams
Involvement in test and support of integration technologies, tools, and
production code
Direct involvement in the reverse engineering and modernization of
existing integration
At a Senior level, provide all above plus the mentoring of other
technical staff, assists with methods and process definition, and provide
expertise with technical/troubleshooting issues

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
equivalent experience
