Send the resume/Rate and Contact Info. *Senior VMWare Support Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA Rate: $35/hr C2C Duration :3+ Months 1st or 2nd Shift Hours* Work in a production support team environment for multiple applications. Responsible for the ongoing delivery & support of several key software packages. Test & implement release upgrades. Perform standard operations tasks like patch/ service pack management, event & performance monitoring. Solid general technical background. Ability work/communicate with all levels of organization. Knowledge of Java (webservices), basic database skills (JDBC), MQseries, SQL, etc. Team player with problem-solving and customer oriented attitude – excellent verbal and written communication skills required. BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent. 6+ years experience Purpose of the role - Objective: Handle day-to-day activities associated with Server Administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Setup & Configure Server Hardware ·Install & Configure Windows 2003 Operating Systems ·Troubleshoot hardware & OS issues as part of Configuration ·Serve as a point of contact for inquiries relating to Server issues. ·Resolve all network issues, or work with Manager, Network & PC Systems Support to resolve more complex issues. ·Server Application Installs (i.e. SQL Server 2005, Veritas Backup Exec) ·Provide Server support for satellite offices. ·Assist Manager, Network & PC Systems Support in scheduling tasks and implementing projects relating to Servers. ·Work on various special projects as assigned by management. Critical Competencies: skills and abilities required for the role Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
