(Proc contents, proc print, proc sort). ·Ability to combine datasets using merges and sets with just using basic techniques. ·Ability to combine SAS datasets knowing what will happen to them based upon how they are joined. ·Ability to optimize datasets, through "where statements", "keep & drop statements" and pre-sorting. ·Ability to write out different types of data. ·Ability to do some loops, transform data (numeric to character, character to numeric). ·Ability and willingness to learn more of how to do other procedures, (proc means, proc freq, proc tabulate, proc transpose, proc summary, proc copy) ·Ability to do Formats ·Ability to Create SQL (reading in datasets and merging and creating new tables using) Compress datasets. ·Ability to create indexes
