Position: QA Testing Engineer Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6+Months Description: General Purpose Works as an experienced test engineer in technology programs, to test S60 Mobile Brower for web standard support. Main Responsibility Area To verify functionality, detect, isolate, and report defects in software product and/or customer solutions as a senior member of the agile team. Provide a leadership role during the preparation and execution of plans, methods, and tool development. Identify, analyze and report complex engineering problems of own technology area. Create new and maintain existing test plans, methods, and test tools for accuracy and completeness. Maintain test project schedules, document defect reports, test summaries and generate regular test status reports. Scope Individual Contributor - Variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, Demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work. Individual Portfolio 4 + years in relevant experience, fully competent. Proven experience with markup and script languages (HTML, Java Script, CSS and XML) Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive and effective interpersonal skills Proven experience with test project leadership is a plus Experience in network technologies (IP, HTTP) is a plus Test experience on Symbian OS based products would be a plus. Environment Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus, but not required. Performs day-to-day activates to meet departmental/project objectives. Requires little supervision. Applies commonly recognised concepts within their field of expertise. Shares knowledge with less experienced peers or have high collegial interaction. Raises innovative ideas.
