MUST HAVE *MORTGAGE INSURANCE  EXPERIENCE*



Directs the implementation, development, and support for all data and
database related activities..  Plans, designs, install, and maintain the
system/services required to operate and support the various data
repositories within the enterprise.  Responsible for establishing and
implementing policies, procedures and priorities supporting the use and
management of these systems.



Directs the design, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions and data
related systems that will be  used extensively within the corporation. For
example, *Data Warehouse, SQL Server repositories, etc*



Develops enterprise data systems architecture(s) and standards to provide
the flexibility to meet future needs.  Identifies and recommends solutions
which have enterprise wide application



Ensures business continuity plans and procedures are developed properly to
support continuing operations in disaster situations.  Maintains back up
conditions, recovery and ongoing operation for the company and conducts
regular testing.



Reviews and maintains the compliance of systems to standards to assure
future flexibility and maintainability. Ensures compliance of enterprise
systems to both internal and external audits.  Maintains software licensing
and inventory for all responsible products and tools.



Assess personnel requirements in terms of experience, skills and training
required to support a revitalized information management organization.
Assist in recruiting, training and development of IT staff consistent with
overall goals and objectives.



Develops critical vendor relationships to support newly formed  Systems and
services.  Partners with vendors to ensure the most cost effective use of
resources are used.  Researches and seeks new and improved state-of-the-art
methods which are cost efficient with return on expenditures.  Ensures
software compliance with vendor support agreements



Develops an annual plan and budget to accomplish enterprise objectives
within the framework of user needs.



*REQUIRED SKILLS*

Practical, solutions oriented background in all aspects of information
delivery.  Hands-on experience in addressing information management issues
ESPECIALLY  with some mortgage banking and/or insurance industry experience.



Practical *Oracle database* technology experience on a *UNIX* environment in
supporting the following activities: creating and maintaining databases,
performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, workload modeling,
systems support, security, long-term strategic planning, problem resolution
tracking, and software upgrades



High level of energy and enthusiasm.  Must have strong interpersonal,
organizational and advanced problem solving skills. Needs to be resilient;
resolving conflicts quickly to achieve desired business results



Demonstrated ability to build and deliver technology strategy and
solutions.  Experience in developing complex, scalable systems. Excellent
analytical ability, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques



Practical technical and application knowledge in *multiple BI/DW
technologies (BRIO, Informatica, SAS, etc.)*

Excellent communication both written and verbal required.  Must be able to
present in front of a group of individuals.  Must be able to write both
technical and non-technical documentations to be understood and read by all
levels with in the organization.



5+ years of progressive management experience in recruiting, mentoring and
developing staff.



Prior experience managing and working with third party vendors, contracts,
and contractors to implement solutions and resolve issues.  Prior experience
in maintaining software licensing compliance and asset management.



Collaborative nature and ability to work within a diverse team, including
technical, business and possibly other personnel (i.e., vendors,
contractors, etc.).



Prior experience in participating in *SOX audits and security compliance
audits*.



2+ years in *Data Modeling with Erwin or like modeling tool*



Prior experience in other database technologies ie *SQL Server, Access, etc*



Prior experience in supporting a 24x7x365 production environment.
Demonstrated understanding and implementation of HA and DR technologies



Prior experience *in project management* with demonstrated delivery of
projects on-time and on-budget.



Prior experience or knowledge of *configuration and change management
processes and policies*



Prior experience in *database or data warehouse development methodologies
and life cycles*
