We are looking for strong Software Quality Engineer to develop test applications that will try to break enterprise level application currently being developed by Senior Java Engineers. Solid programming skill with Java are a must as this is an entry level Java Engineer position. A general understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software-development field is require. Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work on most phases of software development. Excellent oral and written communication skills are extremely important to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff. A SUN-certified Java Developer for Java 2 is strongly preferred. Must have knowledge in web-based and n-tier applications. Experience in JSP and servlets is preferred. It's also important to be familiar wtih XML-based applications, SQL, HTML, and Javascript. Job Description Under general supervision, this position develops, codes, test and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software to increase the effectiveness of the product for business use. Will be responsible for manual testing of enterprise level Java applications currently being developed.
