Title : Business Analyst with strong in Crystal Report Location : State Farm Normal, IL Length : 12 Months Resource Definition: The Business Objects Application Designer is responsible for working with end users and/or IT analysts to define, design, develop, test and implement query and reporting applications. Demonstrated Skill Proficiencies: Design and development expertise with the following Business Objects products used at State Farm: Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 Web Intelligence Crystal Reports XI R2 Crystal Xcelsius 4.5 (if dashboard visualizations are needed) 2 of the 6 resources need the additional skills below: XML JAVA SDK Demonstrated Work Competencies (must be demonstrated over multiple work experiences): Proven ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and business intelligence query objects. Proven ability to develop documentation and design specifications to serve as reference for support and training. Proven ability to work with DBAs and Data Modelers on database designs that improve the effectiveness and performance of query and reporting applications. Proven ability to build a business semantic layer (Business Objects Universe). Proven ability to create reports and report templates. Proven ability to create microcubes. Proven ability to create dashboards with supporting driver based planning components (if dashboard visualizations are required), Proven ability to develop and understand SQL. Proven ability to develop application prototypes to quickly demonstrate business intelligence capabilities to the end user community. Proven ability to conduct appropriate testing activities including developing test cases, conducting testing, and resolving testing defects for all levels of testing (unit, system and user acceptance). Proven ability to provide technical assistance, training, and mentoring to other development analysts.
