*TITLE: *HIPPA Consultant *LOCATION:* Sacramento, CA *DURATION:* 4-5 months *INTRODUCTION:* The Contractor will engage as a key customer and owner of all work products. The Contractor will report to the Technical Project Manager and act under their direction for all tasks in the SOW. The Contractor will work closely with the Enterprise Project Manager and team, the Independent Project Oversight Consultant Contractor, the Project Management Office and other staff and management to assure work products meet the operational and regulatory needs. The task descriptions and respective deliverables are provided below. * * *The Contractor will possess:* · HIPAA Transaction Code Sets (TCS) expert knowledge and substantial experience implementing TCS; and The Contractor may possess: · Specialized HIPAA TCS software or tools to create and read 837s and 835s. This SOW defines the data conversion and programming support services to be provided by the Contractor to the HIPAA Compliance Branch SMART Project. * * *Overview of Work:* The scope of this contract includes all technical planning through execution activities to ensure: 1) data is converted to the new DHCS application that provides DMC claims adjudication processes for the ADP; 2) data is converted to the new DMC claims accounting system; assistance is performed for the technical resources developing the new DMC claims accounting system. This project is in the Execution Phase with multiple work products already completed or in the process of being completed. The work requested includes the full scope of technical resource augmentation associated with Information Technology (IT) projects normally associated with any augmentation efforts. The Contractor is not expected to have any particular responsibility for coordination, but may be asked to participate in meetings, share work products, or work collaboratively with others as needed to successfully perform. This project is on an aggressive schedule.
