Business Analyst*

*Position Description:*

*Summary:* Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate
processing or to improve existing computer systems.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:Conducts and analyzes business and information technology
processes and prepares essential groundwork. Evaluates business requirements
for enterprise business applications integration and service activation,
while delivering new or modified software systems enhancements and/or
integration solutions. Participates in the definition, testing, training,
implementation, and support of system requirements. Identifies customer
requirements, develops test schedules, reviews testing plans and tracks and
documents the development and results of these plans. Alerts project
managers to potential risks and issues of importance. Uncovers client
requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as Data flow
Modeling and Object Modeling, Case Analysis, Workflow Analysis, and
Functional Decomposition Analysis. Solicits client requirements through
interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.

*Key Accountabilities:*

Responsible for analyzing and developing product requirements and
functional/non-functional specifications
Develop formal product requirements documentation that is accurate and
translatable into specifications that are implementable
Facilitate sessions with product and technology teams to gather product
requirements. Apply the appropriate methodology to capturing and
communicating the requirements, e.g., *use cases, business process flows,
state transition diagrams, spreadsheets*, etc.
Develop a traceability matrix of product requirements through the testing
artifacts
Adhere to a requirements lifecycle to ensure changes are captured,
communicated and controlled
Support product testing
Write test cases that include the development of test data and expected
results
Maintain traceability matrix linking test artifacts (test cases, test data
and expected results) to the product requirements
Interact with the QA, product and technology teams to clarify product and
testing requirements including performing any necessary data analysis and
walkthroughs of requirements and test artifacts

*Qualifications:*

*Bachelor's degree in a business-related or technical discipline is required
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of business and systems analysis experience within
financial services
Strong verbal and written communication skills essential
Demonstrated understanding of credit markets, credit instruments and credit
risk
Solid understanding of Web-enabled systems and databases
Experience as a systems analyst on a medium to large scale financial
application applying a structured SDLC methodology
Must be well-organized and able to work independently and within a team
context; embodies a can-do attitude
Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, Visio and MS Word
Any development or QA testing experience would be a plus*
