Job Title : Websphere Application Server Admin Duration : NYC, NY Duration : Long Term* ** *LOCAL PREFFERED!!!!* *The Primary Responsibilities include: · Design and installation of WebSphere Application Server, · Deployment of Enterprise Applications, installation and configuration of new applications, · Configure/modify application content, · Proactive monitoring of the health of applications, · Configuring and managing security of the applications · Optimizing, tuning, troubleshooting of application issues, support to development teams · Implementation of cluster services to perform load balancing and increase availability of the applications* *Required Qualifications: · 5 years experience as a WebSphere Administrator, having worked with versions 5.1, 6.0 and 6.1 running on AIX and Windows with SSL encryption. · Experience with IIS and IHS as well as multiple successful implementations and upgrades of WAS environments. · Basic understanding of AIX administration including shell scripting is required. · Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is highly desirable: MQ Series, BMC Patrol, WebSphere KM.
