Job Title : Business Anaylst with Q.A Exp Location : Madison, WI Duration : 6-12 Months* ** *LOCAL NEEDED !!! IN-PERSON REQ !!!!* * Key Requirements: -Business Analyst Experience* * -Prior QA or current QA experience -Insurance or Healthcare experience. Business Analyst Under limited supervision, supports business processes, systems and customers. Position provides information technology (IT) solutions involving a variety of applications and platforms, with focus on projects with high corporate priority managed by Project Manager(s). * *JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * *· Meets department standards by developing test plans and test cases. Acts as a resource to less experienced staff in their test plan and case development. Executes test plans and cases and documents results. Documents, educates and supports subsequent software solutions. Periodically reviews and recommends improvements to department standards. · Working with vendors and management, analyzes, develops and documents functional specifications for proposed solutions to business requirements of high complexity. Provides recommendations on the nature, scope and complexity of solutions. · Working with developers and business users to determine appropriate solution for system enhancements. · Support training and developmental needs to team members and business users required to make decisions on acceptance of system enhancements. Acts as a resource to other departments. Works with Management and other staff members on IT Request prioritization. · Documenting and communication of system enhancements for management approval and developer understanding. · Proactively researching business requirements and system capabilities in order to determine logical solutions for meeting business requirements. · Assists in various aspects of the SDLC including certification of planned releases and post-release trouble-shooting. · Working closely with Project Managers, demonstrates leadership on project teams and acts as a resource during project planning stages of the project. Advises team members on how to resolve analytical problems. · Recommends standards, procedures and process improvements. · Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: · BS or equivalent and 5-7 years work experience in insurance, computer sciences or related field, or equivalent combination. · Demonstrates sound analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of the customers business in order to effectively translate business needs to IT solutions. · Excellent problem solving ability. · Ability to manage multiple tasks. · Excellent organization and prioritization skills. · Experience with object oriented application development environments and solutions, RDMS, project management tools · Demonstrates self-motivation by taking initiative to learn more and take on more challenges. · Demonstrated leadership skills. · Proven progressive knowledge, responsibility and experience. · Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. · Ability to learn business processes and system functionality in a face paced environment · Ability to thoroughly document system specifications with minimal supervision.
