Role: Engagement Manager

Location: Woonsocket, RI

Duration: 1 year

*Engagement Manager Responsibilities:  *

   - Serve as the main driver of the client relationship and project
   communication
   - Owns and executes the IPD deliverables according to the IPD framework
   - Manages the budget, timeline, resources, scope
   - Create internal status reports in coordination with other team members
   - Share best practices and consulting to PMO/Project Managers throughout
   duration of the project
   - Partner with the Build Service Delivery Management Team to ensure
   proper handoff of the IPD deliverables are complete and thorough
   - Drive process flow analysis and process redesign along with the IPD
   Leads/Managers
   - Produce a timeline schedule to match customer requirements in Special
   Operation initiatives as needed
   - Secure customer signoff for each deliverable (example ID, ED)
   - Maintain project status and updates in SharePoint
   - Logs and Maintains project information and artifacts in SharePoint
   - Produces a weekly status report documenting program  health and
   progress
   - Participate in completion of the deliverables (i.e. meetings,
   controlling activities)
   - Lead and participate in training and rollout of the IPD Engagement
   Process and delivery efforts in concert with the PMO and Build Service
   Delivery Teams and other project team members.
   - Lead internal project team meetings and meetings with the Project
   Managers or other area’s as necessary or required
   - Participate in internal Discovery projects as required

*PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:*

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in
delivering on time and on budget projects and comfortable in the dynamic
atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer
base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a
collaborative team environment, able to design and implement a project
schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. Additional preferred
qualifications are:



   - Brings 8+ years project management experience with custom development
   implementations
   - Must be collaborative, demonstrate good judgment and a pragmatic
   approach that optimizes activities across company needs, business
   constraints and technological realities
   - Instrumental in understanding the “big picture” for problem-solving
   and driving to viable solutions--not just accepting the status quo
   - Must be able to work in a large corporate structure that can be
   ambiguous at times
   - Must be comfortable working in a very diverse multi-cultural
   organization
   - Strong experience with  MS Project, MS Suite (MS Excel a plus), Visio,
   SharePoint
   - B.S. degree or equivalent years of professional experience in a
   relevant field
   - Experience in professional services/consulting organization
   - Experience in Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile (Scrum) approaches to project
   management
   - Strong presentation, communication (both oral/written) and negotiation
   skills
   - Proven ability in Resource Management
   - Experience working with global development teams preferred
   - Ability to understand how a PMO operates and functions.
   - Certification in Project Management Methodologies preferred
   - 5-7 years of relevant experience in professional services, sales or
   customer support operations
   - Proven Solutions consulting experience in large enterprises

1)      Someone that has experience working in the PMO (desirable but not
mandatory)

2)      A strong candidate that can deal with:

a.        ambiguity

b.      chaos (need a thick skinned manager that can deal with politics and
confrontations and escalations from outside teams)

c.       out of process PMO (patience to train PM’s that don’t know how to
manage infrastructure projects)

d.      conflicting schedules and resources on a daily basis

e.      capacity planning and resource management challenges

f.        can take good status with a focus on metrics

g.       be a team player and can get along with our team.
