This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level. The Senior IT Architect will gain organizational commitment for all high-level infrastructure plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. The Senior IT Architect is viewed as a thought and execution leader in application software architecture and engineering. - The candidate makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous systems software engineering issues and ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. - Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements complex operating systems components, software tools, and utilities. - The Senior IT Architect makes recommendations for modifications to existing software to fit specialized needs and configurations. Establishes, communicates and executes common goals and directions for teams and provides direction and guidance for technical staff. - The Senior IT Architect integrates business-level processes and data within an enterprise and between organizations by linking applications, whether purchased or developed in-house, to better support business processes, reduce cycle times (or latencies), costs, and increase agility to respond quickly to new business opportunities. - Analyzes, documents, and understands the IT architecture, business processes and data that exist within the enterprise. The candidate provides guidance on the degree of integration necessary to optimize business processes and the correct architecture and enabling technology solution to achieve the integration. - The Senior IT Architect applies hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces. Provide architectural consulting expertise and direction to application development team. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of development and operations. - Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end to end integrated systems. - Review new and existing IT projects, system designs, and procurement plans for compliance. - Creates and/or reviews high level and detailed architecture and design documents for logical and physical application architectures, interacting with multiple teams and stakeholders. - Actively engages third party partners understanding industry and technological trends. - Demonstrate a commitment to core values. *Experience and Qualifications: * - 10+ year’s work experience in application and systems architecture. - Proven experience in systems design and development. - Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices. - Solid grounding in core enterprise applications. In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems. - Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards. - Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice. Proven project planning and management experience. - Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
