i'd wager the PQO is a red herring.....it's a shared pool allocation problem, methinks.

 

I'd up the size of the shared pool....make 20% of it available as LARGE POOL, and set some reasonable "min_alloc" sizes.

Are you using parallel query?  Looks like parallel query slaves bombing out.  What's in your trace files?

Hi gurus!

I am having the following bug in alert_log.  Oracle
says it may be because of using Pro*C which we are
not using at all.

Anybody has any idea about it. It oracle version 8.1.6
on salaris 2.7.
