Doubt about charecter

Title: Oracle 816 on linux

I have a problem where in a statment of sql the DB Oracle doesn´t get the line in the follow situation :       select name       from table1       where field = 'AAA  #989';   I think that between A and # exist some strange character that i can´t identify it ..   How can I do it ?   Regards   Eriovaldo
