Title: RE: SQLPLUS HELP

Hello all,

I want one help from you.  We are working on Oracle 8.1.6 on Sun solaris 2.6 version.
We are not able to invoke help from sqlplus. eg..

sql> help insert   I want help syntax and desc of insert.

It would be great if somebody suggest how to invoke help and what is to installed extra.

    I ran into something like this on a client's system recently. They
    had a LONG in the table, and that won't come over with the COPY
    command. If that's the case here, then you need to use the
    TO_LOB() function to take it from LONG to CLOB on the fly.

    As sometimes happens, the error message can be misleading.
