Dear All
I am trying to use rman utility.
I have a server (NT) with few databases.
I have another workstation(NT) where I have
created the catalog database.
I am going with SMS on the server and
Connect to one of the databases as the target database
Rman target [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Connected
From there I connect to the catalog database on the workstation
Rman>connect catalog [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Connected
Register database
registered
on the other hand
I connect with pcanywhere on the workstation where the catalog
database is
I try to connect to the target database on the server and then come
Back to the catalog database and register the target.
Rman connect target [EMAIL PROTECTED]
TNS errors
I checked the tnsnames files for both
The machines and I found that in one machine
The database is net8 configured with SID=
And on the other machine with Service_name=
Any suggestions???
