Hi:

All the DML is controlled by the stored procedure at
the database level. Any insert/ update /select is
done by calling a stored procedure within the forms6.

As a result the forms is being used as front end for
display only. It appears that locking problem will be
resolved by this. Or is it so? When an update is
issued, the Stored procedure updates/inserts all the
columns in the table. It does not check for the
column that has changed only. So when two users
update the same row, the result could technically be
misleading.

All Architets Gurus what are the pros / Cons of using
this sort of Design ?

I would prefer using the Forms6i Lock mechanism rather
than used stored Procedure to control it ...

Thanks
