Look at TRANSLATE function
eg:
SQL> select 'blahblahblah' from dual;
'BLAHBLAHBLA
------------
blahblahblah
SQL> select TRANSLATE('blahblahblah', 'a', '0') from dual;
TRANSLATE('B
------------
bl0hbl0hbl0h
SQL>
