Robert,
Before you get too self righteous consider some of the following:
International law sates that countries can claim 12NM of air/sea space from
their coast lines. There is a significant difference between 12NM and 200NM
as claimed by China. There is also a significant difference between 12NM and
50NM where the reckless Chineese pilot hit the EP-3. The use of
international airspace in the South China Sea by the US is no different than
the use of international sea space 12NM off the US coast by the Chineese
"fishing" vessels that are doing anything but fishing for fish. Yes, I have
personally seen them with MY OWN EYES, not a tv news photo. These "fishing"
boats have more antennas on them than CNN's global headquarters. Just for
your comfort there are also Russian, Japaneese, and various other
nationalities "fishing" 12NM off the coast of the US. Almost any nation that
has a sea going navy has this activity going on all over the world.

As for your comments on state controlled news, what a joke, the PRC
government controls ALL media in China with an iron fist. At least US press
can ridicule and chastise the politicians, and parties publicly in the US
without fear of retribution. This is GUARANTEED by the US Constitution.

Your estimate of 10% job loss in the US is WAAAAAY high. Very few US
employers have all their assets tied to US/China relations. Our capitalists
are greedy, but catious. They generally hedge their international options
with other more stable internal relationships. Yes, there would be an
economic impact, but not that great.
