For web development stuff, look all over Oracle's web sites 
(metalink.oracle.com, docs.oracle.com and technet.oracle.com) for 
stuff on "three tier architecture" etc.

My guess (mainly stupid) is that you want to concentrate on "middle 
tier" (application server) related stuff, not so much "pure" dba 
issues.

Note that their email lists are free to non-members.
