Joe,
I know that using OCM - Net8 Connection Manager has the features you
require.
I have not yet needed to do implement it although it was considered.
Features are
- control client access to target servers
- setup filters to permit/restrict access to a server based on
i server hostid (or IP address)
ii target hostid (    "               )
ii destination db name
