� create a named pipe:
$ mknod p_expimp p
� export from the source database to the pipe:
$ exp userid=src_username/password file=p_expimp OtherParameters
� at the same time importing from the pipe is started:
$ imp userid=trg_username/password file=p_expimp buffer=1024000 OtherParameters
