RE: How to prevent oracle from committing a transaction?

Wait a minute here.

Why would oracle do a commit on your transaction
just because it needs to do a checkpoint, logfile switch, or shutdown?

What if errors occur during validation?

Do you think Oracle will commit the data anyways?
