Guy,   I think 64K makes a difference, depending on the size of the uniform extent specified for LMT. Let say, we create 100M file with 10M extent size and don't add 64K to the size of the file. Then, the last 10M (minus 64K) in the file will be wasted.   It does not make a difference only if your extent size <= 64K.   Igor Neyman, OCP DBA Perceptron, Inc.
