New to Oracle, but not databases. (Laura and I worked together years back).
There are products out on the market that will do this, Quest Software's
Schema Manager comes to mind.
What exactly are you looking for when you say differences? Columns? Column
sizes? Ordering of the columns in the table descriptions? You can get most
of that information from the data dictionary tables, specifically the
dba_tab_columns view. And you can certainly write your own against that.
You'd need a database link between the two databases so that you can access
one from the other as well.
