Well, I got the answer. It's amazing what changing a couple of words in
a Metalink search will do. (by the way has anyone noticed Metalink hasn't
been down for a while. Maybe they changed to NT). It was the uptime > 248
days problem. (truss ttimes time true showed negative numbers. See
Note:130423.1).

I don't think that people have a problem with uptime > 248 days on NT.
Paul
(who executes cold backups on all databases (on NT/W2K) every Friday night,
and cares not about uptime > 7 days)
