A couple of years ago I verified whether it was a good idea to use NFS
mounts, and Oracle Support told me that Oracle does not support NFS mounts.
They approve NFS from a handful of 3rd party vendors, but none of these are
OS vendors - not Sun, not Compaq, not IBM. 3rd party only.
Even NFS over TCP is not supported when it comes from the OS vendors.
Don't use NFS to store your export files, either.
