If you issue an alter table ..... monitoring for an
existing one or when you create issuing: create table
.... monitoring, the SMON will update that kind of
statistics every three hours or when you bounce and
startup the database. You can see them on the view
dba_tab_modifications. This helps for generating
statistics.
