Don't sit on anything that has a zero at the end. Read the 8.1.7.2 readme, and you
will see what I mean.

We are currently Solaris 2.6 105181-26 & Oracle v8.1.7.0.0.

We recently upgraded from v8.1.6.0.0 to v8.1.7.0.0 on the advise of Oracle
support in order to fix several bugs we were encountering. To make a long
story short, we hit 3 new very troublesome bugs within the first week and
are now just limping along.

Oracle support is now recommending we upgrade to v8.1.7.1.0 to fix all three
bugs. Yeah, Right.

Now that v8.1.7.2.0 is available and the bug fix report is as long or longer
that the v8.1.7.1.0 list (see metalink Doc# 120613.1) we have to ask
ourselves, "Do ya feel luck"?

So the question is which patch set fixes more while at the same time breaks
less? Or should we just limp along until v8.1.7.3 in January 2002?

TIA

Brian
