I do it all the time.  Not exactly what type of environmental you want to
create, but you can always do something like:

echo set oracle_sid=Prod >  setsid.bat

call setsid.bat

Is this what you mean?  I do this as well as echo sql commands to an output
file, and run the sql thru sqlplus.  It allows me to create a variable sql
text, fiddling with the 'where clause' when I need to.

What specifically do you need to do?
