Follow the following steps
Directions
1. After downloading the software
2. Create directories Disk1, Disk2 and Disk3
3. cd Disk1
4. cat <fullpath_to_disk1>.cpio | cpio -icd
This will extract all the files for disk1.
5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for disk2 and disk3
6. To run the installer, cd to Disk1 and run runInstaller

I haven't tired it but I think that I read on this list about a week ago
that dispite the file extension, these files do not need to be
uncompressed. They are not compressed to begin with.

Hello gurus,
I want to download the 9i database from technet.
The download works fine, but the uncompress fails.
Has anybody done a successfull download ??
