Joan, check out the release notes for aix patches, if i remember correctly:   8.1.7.0 -> 8.1.7.1 8.1.7.0 -> 8.1.7.2   8.1.7.1 -> 8.1.7.0 -> 8.1.7.2   to go from 8171 to 8172, i think you have to reinstall 8.1.7.0, run all scripts, then apply patch and run scripts again.   joe >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/06/01 01:32PM >>> Hi Listers, I am asking a simple question today.
