> don't equate Islam with terrorism
Yes, Mohammed... Thank you for pointing that out!!!

It is very important that people not condemn an
entire group of people or religion because of the
insane acts of a few maniacs who pervert their
religious beliefs with irrational interpretations.
Throughout history there have been people who called
themselves Christian, Jew, and Muslim who, in the name
of Jesus, God, and Allah, have violated the teachings
of their faith and in so doing have given religion a
bad name. For example, in the past, "good" Christians
have condemned the acts of false Christians who
committed atrocities in the name of Christ. They did
this by referring to the writings of their creed and
showing the absurdity of the false believers
interpretation by quoting Jesus' words when He said
you should love your enemies and do good to those who
persecute you, and that those who hate their
brother or fellow man are guilty just as if they
had committed murder themselves. Surely false Islamic
"believers" who say they hate the United States and
delight in or take credit for having committed these
heinous acts will be held morally accountable by their
true Islamic leaders. Surely good Muslims will quote
something from the Koran to condemn these SELF
proclaimed terrorists for Allah. I too believe it is
important for the Islamic community to join the world
in condemning the acts of these terrorists and to
illustrate from the writings of their creed that these
terrorist's actions do not represent the beliefs of
the religion they profess to be fighting for.

That having been said, I respectfully request that
everyone refrain from religious and/or political
expression on this list in such a way that it ignites
the negative passions of others. It's time to promote
healing. Let's get back to work.

With sincerest respect,
Steve Orr

All,

If this is an attack by outside terrorists, please
don't equate Islam with terrorism, or say things like
"Islamic Terrorists", "Islamic Terrorism" etc. Islam
is as far from these acts as any religion. Islam does
not condone this kind of behavior and abhors
these senseless acts.

Thank you.
