Shouldn't be any problem.
I've done it on AIX without any trouble.

to ORACLE-L
Hi Gurus,
We are planning to move all of our Sybase (ASE 12.0) applications
to Oracle(8.1.7). During the transition period which will last for a
year, we wanted to keep Oracle and Sybase server in the same box for
cost considerations. The database size is 100Gb with 3000 tables in it.
Oracle technical person says that there will not be any problem with
this configuration. I would like to know your view. Do you anticipate
any problem with this co-existence?
Our environment :
Sun Solarice 2.6
Sybase ASE 12.0
Oracle 8.1.7
Please share your experiences.
Thanks
Vasu
