Dear gurus ! I'm about to implement Oracle standby database using oracle 8.0.5 . I need automatic switchover in case of primary site failure , i.e. i need the standby (secondary) database to get opened automatically should the primary site fail. Is there a way to achieve this ? I know that there is automated failover capability in 8i managed standby , but we use 8.0.5 :-( Thanks in advance . Andrey
