I am doing a cost justification for upgrading a data warehouse from 8.0.4 to 8.1.7.
I need to submit it today and don't have time to do a test on a very large table. Does anyone have anecdotal evidence or experience in the time difference required to reorg a tablespace using the export/import table method versus alter table move to a new tablespace method? Thanks for any time quotes you can provide. I'm especially interested in very large tables and tablespaces.
