Alan, What do you mean the file is to large for vi? If you are going to string the lines together be sure that you don't overrun the linitations of the server input line length. If you need to have continuations in the line I think that the \ tells the server the command is continued on the next line. Check the server manufacturer's site for support discussions. ROR mª¿ªm
