(IMHO) autoallocate is poor man's uniform.  Its like
"I want consistency to my extent sizes, but I have not
done any planning to work out what those sizes are"

Uniform is the way to go ...

- no more fragmentation
- trivial to build free space checking scripts
- trivial to monitor/trend growth
