Lisa, 1. Find the amt of shared mem you are using: ipcs -mb 2. see your os limit. for e.g. : sysdef |grep -i shm
also ensure that ur /etc/system parameters match with the output from 2. If not, you need to bounce the unix box for those values to tale effect.
