Hi folks,

On trying to open one of our development databases today morning, I get the
following
error :

 SQL> alter database open;
alter database open
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00333: redo log read error block 129347 count 1719

The database is 8.1.7 on Solaris and is running in NOARCHIVELOG mode.

Is this a case of redolog corruption ?? In that case, how do I recover the
database even if I restore
the previous backup since there r no archive logs (NOARCHIVELOG mode) ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Samir
