Error: ORA-12988
Text: cannot drop column from table owned by SYS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cause: An attempt was made to drop a column from a system table.
Action: This action is not allowed
The solution seems to be 'do not create objects as sys'.
Drop the tables and create them as another user.

Please respond
to ORACLE-L
I have created a DB as SYS and added columns to some of the tables as SYS.
When I try to drop some of these columns I get this error.
ORA-12988: cannot drop column from table owned by SYS
How can I get around this problem?
Thanks,
