Hi I checked my database and see redo ratio is high. I ran the folling query select (req.value * 5000) / entries.value "Redo Ratio" from v$sysstat req, v$sysstat entries where req.name = 'redo log space requests' and entries.name = 'redo entries'; But the background checkpoints completed and background checkpoints started are having diffrence 1. When I do large insert and delete I receive message in alert log "Checkpoint not completed." but not regulary. My redo log file size is 20m. oracle is running on 8.1.6 on unix. LEt me know group suggestion. Thanks -Seema
