You may be hitting a bug# 1397603 and may have to apply the 8.1.7.1 or 8.1.7.2 patch set. Pl search Metalink for this bug number.

I'm able to login "svrmgrl", but most commands end the session with a "not connected". "startup" gives the expected already started, shutdown first. My questions are (yeah, I know, clairvoiance): - Could anyone who experienced this share solution(s)? - Will a "shutdown immediate" just hang? - Will a "shutdown abort" cause harm?
